I would love to tell you that this historical landmark is everything you could hope for, but that just is not the case. Their website https://villageinnrockport.com leads you to believe this will be a comfortable addition to your vacation or get away, but this may not be the case. The rooms shown on their website are only the front couple of rooms. However, we didn't learn until finding this site that we could of rented our room by the week and saved $250.

My daughter and I checked into a room there on Monday and checked out Saturday. I feel you get a real feel for a place if you stay before and during their busy times.

On the first night we were charged $59 for a one bed room. The next 3 nights we were charged $79, then the last 2 nights it was $96. The motel owner speaks very little English and will charge you  extra and short change you every chance he gets.

The rooms are under maintained and not thoroughly cleaned. We found  drug paraphernalia behind the nightstands when we moved it to plug up our cell phone chargers. The room didn't have an odor, good or bad. There was a mini fridge and small microwave which I had to clean because of left behind food particles. The blow dryer didn't work. There was a coffee pot, but no coffee packs or cups and when I asked about some was told they didn't supply these things. This was also the case with the ice machine. There wasn't one. The one soda machine didn't work and we were told they could not refund any money you put into.

The grounds are mostly asphalt. The pool area is rather nice, small, clean pool is very inviting. Pets are allowed at a $10 per pet, per night fee.

You will not be greeted by friendly people here, nor is hospitality part of their agenda. If you can find a room elsewhere, try it first. I would be more inclined to keep this one as a last resort.
